Ultimate Guide: Creative activation of the 7 Chakras ▽ One day I woke up extremely unbalanced from a very intense dream. It felt like being in my world and the dream world simultaneously, receiving dream messages and losing a person I deeply love. I meditated, did my yoga practice and that gave me inner peace. Then I took a big box of paints and brushes from Nepal and created a Mandala. Letting myself becoming creativity itself. I was in this state for more than 3 hours, I did not drink, did not eat. However I felt so accomplished and complete, like dancing with the divinity in me and expressing it on canvas. My mind at peace, my thoughts in order and my heart filled with bliss. I looked at my mandala and the answer came. I realized how quickly the creative process can connect us to our higher self. How the process itself is a loving guide to anxiety release, clarity and inner purpose. One of the brightest experiences of my life was living for one year in a small village in Nepal among the Tibetan Buddhist Tamang people. There I learned Tibetan art in the local Thangka school, where each creative technique has a different purpose and opens a different side in you. Later on I came up with art & coaching techniques for releasing emotional blockages allow energy to flow freely. I have collected my favourite creative methods connecting each of them with a different energy center (chakra) for healing and guidance. One technique for the activation of each chakra. In this blog I am sharing with You one simple and powerful method I have created for the activation of the Third Eye Chakra: Intuition and Understanding. Signs of imbalance: nightmares, headaches, unable to concentrate, delusions. ▽ Getting ready: Materials: coloured pencils, A4 or A3 paper, a clean place on the floor or table, journal and pen. Position: Sit on a chair or pillow with a straight & elongated spine next to your creative place. ▽ 8 Steps: Step 1 (2-5 min): Close your eyes and start breathing to the count of 4: Inhale deeply...1, 2, 3, 4 and observe your breath moving through your nostrils, your throat centre, heart centre down to your belly. Exhale...4, 3, 2, 1 and observe your breath moving from the bottom of your belly towards your heart center, throat centre and exiting through your nostrils. Step 2 (2-3 min): Start scanning your body from your forehead down to your feet. Imagine you stand under a waterfall of shining white light. Step 3: Imagine the best version of You. Breathe into this image. Breathe into the shape and colours of this image. Step 4: Now if you had to choose one colour for its boundaries, what would it be? Take this colour and draw a circle on a paper. It doesn’t have to be perfect. For example: one closed yellow circle. Step 5: Draw the image of the best version of yourself into this circle. The drawing can be abstract. Just do it intuitively. You can go beyond the circle if you want to. Step 6:
Once your drawing is accomplished, take a pen and give it a TITLE. Anything that comes into your mind when you look at it. Step 7: Imagine you receive a letter from your best version. Write it down. It can be prose, bullet points, statements, poems, anything that feels right. Step 8: Take a journal. Write 8 steps that bring you closer to the best version of yourself. Create your own mantra or affirmation that will connect you to this image starting with “I am….” Write a page or two about your feeling & reflections and never forget that while you aim at your highest self, you are already amazing just the way you are <3 ▽ You are very welcome to share your drawing and your reflections on our community page “Alisa Poplavskaya - Yoga & Mandala Therapy” on Facebook and to spread the word about the power of creativity and mindfulness in the world.
